Our Faith

We Believe Jesus is the head of His church (Ephesians 1:22-23) with authority over her life and doctrine (John 14:6).

We Believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We understand the Old Testament to be the recorded history of God’s people, pointing to the coiming of his Son, Jesus. We understand the New Testament, to be the only authoritative will of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

CrossWe Believe there is only one God who is the creator of the heavens and the earth. God exists in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 4:39).

We Believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus the Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death on the cross, and His resurrection from the dead (I John 5:1-5). We believe God’s plan of salvation is to ‘Hear God’s Word’ (Romans 10:17); to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 16:16; John 8:24); Repent of your sins (Acts 17:30; Luke 13:3); confess Jesus Christ as Lord (Matthew 10:32,33); and be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38); and God adds us to His Church (Acts 2:47).

We Believe that salvation cannot be earned. However, through God’s grace and Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we are redeemed through our obedient faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-10).

We Believe Baptism to be the beginning of the New Life. The word baptism comes from the Greek word “baptizo” and means, “to dip, to immerse, or to plunge.” We practice immersion because it was practiced by the New Testament church. And, only immersion conforms to the description of baptism found in Romans 6:1-4, where it is connected to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

We Believe in communion with the church every first day of the week by partaking of unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine, representing body and blood of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ (Acts 20:7)

 We Believe:

…God loves us and made a plan for our redemption from the beginning of history. (Genesis 3:15; Ephesians 1:4-5, 11; Romans 5:18-19; John 3:16)

…Jesus Christ is the one and only sacrifice for our sins, and He arose from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 4:12, 5:28-32)

…the Bible is the inspired word of God – a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)

…every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

…forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. (John 3:16)

…those accepting and trusting Christ should repent of sins, confess their faith and be baptized (immersed) into Him for forgiveness of sins. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38)

…the Church is the Body of Christ on earth, is empowered by the Holy Spirit, and exists to save the lost and edify the saved. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:22; 3:10-11; 4:12, 16; 5:23;Colossians 1:18; Jude 20-23)

…ministering and serving others is our response of appreciation for what Jesus has done for us. (1 Corinthians 15:10)

…Jesus Christ will one day return and take His children to be with Him forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
